many thanks for porting and supporting open source software.
I have successfully installed EMBOSS via fink and is working
beautifully from the command line, but I have troubles to run the Java
GUI interface jemboss locally; following "fink install emboss" and
according to the instructions

Faster, yes. But I'm having problems (read, can't do it at all) with

I've been trying to log into the tracker for several weeks now and whenever
I do, IE crashes (IE 5.2.2 on 10.2.3). Can someone tell me what to do to fix
this...or is it being worked on?

I find that IE is unreliable for connecting to souceforge's site in secure
mode. I always use another browser to do so (formerly OmniWeb, currently
Safari).

It's being worked on by many people. The results are called Netscape,

cause a unrecoverable damage to your home directory. So, beware of
older releases of it. The most recent version downloadable now is safe.

Hi!
There was a message a couple of days ago from Max Horn saying that
anonymous CVS access was down at Sourceforge.net... Since selfupdate
uses CVS, it won't work until CVS access is back up.
