We have a firebird database which has been deployed for 4 years. It is reliable
and now its size becomes 40G.
We have several Windows services (4 or 5 ), they frequently interact with this
database,
Recently I find the nbackup is very very slow. For my 40G database, it takes
almost 24 hours to finish the 0 level, for the rest levels it also takes
several
hours.
NBackup should run at near raw HDDs performance levels -- 100mb/s.

where nbackup got hung which were fixed in those releases.
Esp. 2.5.3, which has had some major work to reduce the time
