[Flashcoders] Flash Media Server Component Usage Survey
Do you work with the Flash Media Server? If so, the FMS product team would like feedback on how you use the FMS componentshttp://www.adobe.com/devnet/flashmediaserver/articles/components.html. Or, if you do not use them, why not. The product team has opened up a survey at the following link. [Flashcoders] flash media server hosting providers
can anyone recommend a flash media server hosting provider that they're really happy with based on performance, reliability and cost? a LAMP solution would be ideal but not necessary. necessary technologies would be Flash Media Server, MySQL, PHP and FFMpeg or another video coding solution. an ideal solution would provide an out of the box video encoding/ converting solution. i.e, upload any video format and video is encoded as a .flv THANKS! ./james ___ Flashcoders@chattyfig.figleaf.com To change your subscription options or search the archive: http://chattyfig.figleaf.com/mailman/listinfo/flashcoders Brought to you by Fig Leaf Software Premier Authorized Adobe Consulting and Training http://www.figleaf.com http://training.figleaf.com

Vivek, The tutorial did work for me eventually. The problem seemed to be in the main.asc file provided with the example. I had it replaced by the default one provided with Flash 8 in the sample and tutorials folder. This solved the problem. I am still using WinXP so it seems the problem wasn't OS related. Thanks! I wondered how your FMS is working on WinXP whereas they have clearly mentioned in their requirement specs that it will working on Windows 2000 Server or Windows 2003 server. Infect one of my colegue got problem when he tried installing FMS on WinXP. He had to shift to Server adition of windows. Only Adobe guys can tell the differnce. Anyway the point is it's working and you were able to run the sample. Thanks Vivek On 5/18/06, Aasim Momin [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Vivek, The tutorial did work for me eventually. RE: [Flashcoders] Flash Media Server
My installation of FMS2 seemed to go well. (I chose the default insall location and am just using the (free) developer license). I quickly ran into the same problem however, but found that the built in Windows Firewall was blocking outside connections. The other thing I found was that the max connections limit was set to equal 1 in the installed Vhost.xml file. (Developer edition allows for up to 10 connections). Once I changed this, all the examples seemed to work for me. ResourceLimits MaxConnections-10/MaxConnections /ResourceLimits Hope that helps, - JP -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Martin Klasson Sent: Wednesday, January 18, 2006 9:41 AM To: Flashcoders mailing list Subject: [Flashcoders] Flash Media Server Hi Coders.
