I am trying to get remoteObjects up and running, talking to a FDS.
I use mxml binding, and when I actually make the send() call to my
remote object it generates an error send failed. It does not appear
that the message is ever getting to the server because there is no
traffic on the java console.

So if you only have one app on the server its free? How many users is

D,
Flash will only display pictures that are received via http. I think
that the best way to do this is to store the pictures in the fie
system in a directory that is accessible to the web server and
accessible via an http://; url, and to store the URL in the database.

Well, maybe because you have a major codebase already running under

Even if the alternate solutions were free, maybe you dont want to (or

There is an article on news.com that says the following.
Adobe is introducing a free, basic software developers kit which
includes the Flex Framework, compiler and documentation. The Flex

Andy,
I think you misunderstand. There is no flash 9 announced or anywhere

Will there be the opportunity to get the beta version?
Yes!
They have stated that a new public beta will be issued before the
alpha expires. From everything I understand they do not intend to
orphan the pioneers. (It would also be illogical and *really* bad
business)

What I've yet to see work yet is AMFPHP using AMF3, but I wouldn't expect
Patrick the AMFPHP crew to start working on it until the player is in
later betas.

, it's only available in the new

As far as I know there is not yet.
There was some discussion about this on the flashcoders list when
flex2 came out. I made a pretty big deal about the fact that the docs
seem to indicate that standard remoting will not be something that is
supported.
