Hi again gang,
I recently mentioned that I was having problems running DominoEX, and
PSK63Srv ( a psk server program based on PSKCORE.DLL) under VAC.
The problem was obviously cockpit error at the VAC tab. I tried changing
the sampling rate from within VAC itself, and this resulted in my poor
Like Richard, I have MMSSTV, MMTTY, MixW, MRP40, CWtune, CWget,
MultiPSK, WSJT, . . . . . . . .
I really need to be able to fill out a table with the appropriate
settings for that program in a program profile and when selecting, the
VAC, DIGI, etc. changes would be automatic.
That is a
Digital Mode Profiles is on the list. It will come after the new

This is completely possible in software and is what I was trying to
describe earlier (though I did a poor job). Basically, we can separate
the monitor and transmit audio in the DSP and allow the transmit side to
be buffered. This will also allow us to transmit at an IF while not
losing the
Tim,
I like the ideas keep them coming. Let me just throw in there that we
intend to have a mode specific control area with the next console. This
will allow such things as a Third Party Digital Mode Program Profile
combobox (hopefully with a shorter name), and things like the transmit
profiles
Hey y'all -
I'm just about to join the family of Flex Radio users. I'm wondering,
however, if my existing Mia Midi sound card (audio interface) will
suffice with the new system. It's a pro quality card with two balanced
analog inputs and two balanced analog outputs. I use it currently as an

FYI,
Here are the Mia MIDI specs:
Software Features
* 2 balanced 1/4 analog inputs with 106dB (A-weighted) dynamic range
* 2 balanced 1/4 analog outputs with 106dB (A-weighted) dynamic range
* MIDI in/out
* 24 bit coaxial S/PDIF digital I/O
* Supports full duplex 4 channel in, 4 channel out
As I just ,entioned to Eric in a separate email, my Mia Midi card works
perfectly with the SDR-100 software -- at least in the Test Drive
simulated reception mode.

I would buy a nice case with efficent cooling system, the heaviest power
supply you can get, a mouse and a keyboard. As Ross intimates, all else
is subject to nearly instant obsolesence.

Dynamic Range looks good, but 2 in/out is a downer. Make sure to use
the -10dBv outputs so as not to blow up your transmitter. Does it have
ASIO drivers?

Welcome aboard.
I'm in the Washington DC area, have had the SDR-1000 since MAY 05 and think
it's the best.
Let me know if you need some up close and personal help.

I was also operating as a casual little pistol on the 160m contest.

It would be really nice if

2. the band edges could be shown with a simple tick mark.

I have a PreSonus Firebox that I have been using with Power SDR V1.4.5 and wave

to be delivered). All in all the results are impressive. I have even managed
to get VAC to work with MixW2. I have noticed that while

Great post! Let the software folks totally exhaust themselves BEFORE we look

Hey Steve,
I am going to try to replicate my thought and decision making processes
so you can understand why I did what I did and how I came to do it.
First, I knew that a multiple processor/hyperthreaded/dual core CPU

Cecil,
Changing development software in the middle of a large project is a
pretty dangerous thing to do. The main problem is that while some
piece of code may compile correctly it may not work exactly the same
way as with the old development environment. Because, in a project
