Are there any inexpensive ways to print the operating manuals? 193 pages
is a lot of paper thru my printer. I tried the Kinkos online print, but
the price was $174!! Ripoff. Any suggestions gratefully accepted.

I printed out a copy in draft mode a couple
of years ago. Since then I just keep a
shortcut to the file on my Windows desk top.
That seems to work well after I decided that
I could make the change. And the search
feature in the viewer makes it easy to find
the words I'm looking for.

Try Kinkos but make it in BW. Mine for 1.8.0 cost me ±$23.

Get a cheap printer and a pack of paper.
Printer = ~$45.00 (HP DJ2460 @ Circuit City)
Paper = $5.00 (500 sheet count)
IMHO, since the manual (as with the software) is continuously changing,
unless it is absolutely necessary, printing might be a waste of

Thanks for all the responses. The ole eyes ain't what they used to be,
but I guess I'll go with soft copy on another screen as I setup my
SDR-1000. I found that I could get a BW copy from Kinko's for around 20
bucks, but since it is a living document, I guess soft copy is the way
to go.

Hi Dave,
You can program the Griffin to do anything there is a hotkey defined for. I
would suggest you download the keyboard mapping file from the knowledge
base, that is as soon as our KB Administrator puts the file back up ;o))
There seems to be a problem with it at the moment. Any command that

Can't find this in manual or KB.
When operating DIGL or U. and I select the 2.4 filter, I get a green band
that basically covers 2.4 kc. Likewise for all the other preset receive
filters.
This I understand.
But
The two yellow transmit passband edge lines don't coincide.

I think FedExKinkos has pricing that's kind of out of whack here. (And
it's well nigh impossible to figure out what the price is.. it's
certainly NOT on their website anywhere)

What I'm trying to point out, here, is that out of whack is no
surprise. And,
re fatal error i had that and the sound card had not been installed

Because you can define the transmit filter width (high and low cut
points) based on the TX Profile being used separately from the RX filter
settings. It is described on page 97 in the 1.8.0 Operations manual.
You can also change the RX filters in the same way. It is described on
