Re: [Flightgear-devel] RFC: fgdata merge request 76: Improvedairport Textures
I'm afraid that the "improved textures" really aren't an improvement. Not only do they not work for taxiways, we have also lost the chevrons at the threshold that were quite recently added: https://picasaweb.google.com/gijsrooy/FlightGearSkyopSTextures#5604420979421 192098 The grass isn't much of an improvement either. On balance, this upload is a regression. IMO we should back it out. Yes, right. I used the turbulence model already before, but now it is used automatically. It was just this bridge missing. > > Great! Thank you! Re: [Flightgear-devel] JSBSim turbulence models: revealing an almost hidden gem
Also, note that ttBerndt turbulence is an ongoing experiment, and I have not tried it in a long time - don't expect much from that. TtMilspec and ttTustin are similar and the most potentially capable, but these are also the newest models and could use some more testing, perhaps. Of course, ttNone works perfectly. ;-) Jon Berndt Sent from my Samsung Captivate(tm) on AT&T Torsten Dreyer wrote: >Hi, > >I just commited a patch to make the JSBSim turbulence models selectable at >runtime. >The turbulence model can be selected by setting >/environment/params/jsbsim-turbulence-model to either "ttNone", "ttStandard", >"ttBerndt", "ttCulp", "ttMilspec" or "ttTustin". [Flightgear-devel] JSBSim turbulence models: revealing an almost hidden gem
Hi, I just commited a patch to make the JSBSim turbulence models selectable at runtime. The turbulence model can be selected by setting /environment/params/jsbsim-turbulence-model to either "ttNone", "ttStandard", "ttBerndt", "ttCulp", "ttMilspec" or "ttTustin". The Milspec model is selected by default through preferences.xml. The turbulence severities set from the global weather dialog now get routed to the JSBSim FDM and should affect your aircraft. Depending on the used turbulence model, the relevant properties for JSBSim are set. Have fun playing with it and please report bugs. Torsten P.S.: Please refer to the FGAtmosphere.cpp in JSBSim for details about the turbulence models. P.P.S.: All this does not affect YASIM aircraft. -- WhatsUp Gold - Download Free Network Management Software The most intuitive, comprehensive, and cost-effective network management toolset available today.
