I shrank the gear handle, and added it to the phake lighting so you can

Excellent. I have done some work on the FDM to decrease the aileron
response and adverse yaw. I still have some tuning to do however - I can't
get above 112kts @ 5,000ft, even at 100% throttle which suggests some of
the drag parameters are too high.

The current plane overwrote the old one at
http://www.jentronics.com/fgfs/c182rg.tgz . It uses the separate folder
Stuart set up, and incorporates all the changes I know about.

I think it is time for this to go into CVS, if no-one objects.

Thanks to everyone for their work on this. From nothing to a CVS aircraft
in a week may be a new FlightGear record!

Certainly no objections from me. Any remaining nits should
be fixed within CVS, not without.

While we're on the subject: the 182rg should be added to the
download page:
   http://www.flightgear.org/Downloads/aircraft/index.shtml

It's in good enough shape to be rated production.

Somebody will have to generate the appropriate thumbnail
photo.

I observe that in that tarball, neither the squat switch nor
the gear warning horn appear to be operational.

That record will remain secure unless sourceforge gets its act
together. Some messages are being delayed 10+ hours /within/
the sourceforge complex, and others are apparently being lost
entirely. It's hard to base a collaboration on that. Example:

I don't think should go on the downloads page. That page only includes
aircraft for the current version of FG - 0.9.10 at the moment. Given the
use of the pick animation, the c182rg is really a CVS-only aircraft.
Anyone using CVS for the source, will also be using CVS for data, so will
pick it up anyway.

Also not sure that it is production quality yet... I think there is
still work to be done on the FDM, and I don't know if the gear animation
is right.
