Re: [Flightgear-devel] c182rg ... and list follies

I also tweaked the FDM so gear drag comes on almost instantly and is up to 50% higher during gear movement. Excellent. I have done some work on the FDM to decrease the aileron response and adverse yaw. I still have some tuning to do however - I can't get above 112kts @ 5,000ft, even at 100% throttle which suggests some of the drag parameters are too high. The current plane overwrote the old one at http://www.jentronics.com/fgfs/c182rg.tgz . It uses the separate folder Stuart set up, and incorporates all the changes I know about. I think it is time for this to go into CVS, if no-one objects. Thanks to everyone for their work on this. Somebody will have to generate the appropriate thumbnail photo. I don't think should go on the downloads page. That page only includes aircraft for the current version of FG - 0.9.10 at the moment. Given the use of the pick animation, the c182rg is really a CVS-only aircraft. Anyone using CVS for the source, will also be using CVS for data, so will pick it up anyway. Also not sure that it is production quality yet... I think there is still work to be done on the FDM, and I don't know if the gear animation is right. -Stuart ___ Inbox full of unwanted email?
