Title: Piano Drop
Hi!
As a consequence of the celebration of worldSILLYweek out here at the edge we have been given a piano to drop from a great height. Curiously the donor kind of new about Al Hansens Yoko Ono Piano Drop but not the names etc. We are contemplating doing a kind of piano drop
--- Ray, perhaps if you have no heights from which to
drop your piano, an alternative would be to find or
dig a very deep hole to drop it down? A mine shaft? A
woolen mine or a pit where jumbucks are quarried
maybe? A deep well where the azure liquid has dried
up? If you used a very small piano
that sounds good! let's suppose the french adapt fluxball, dribbling the
ball into their own goal, say, five times when they play switzerland, while
our team plays normal football for once. then england and croatia might
decide to play nillball, where 22 people cick the ball out of the field for
i did miss the announcement, i was away, and just (foolishly!) deleted all
my fluxlist mail when i got back
thanks to everyone for letting me know..
i can't help but feel at a loss, having grown up here in maine
yet never once did i make the couple hour trek up to his home in belfast

Michael,
Thanks for that since my post Im pretty sure that we can get a crane with a 5 story lift and we also seem to have found an appropriate industrial site thats now part of a cultural precinct. BUT we will acknowledge your suggestions and keep them in mind

how about if you dropped something, froma great
height, onto an openpiano? you could have a
competition...
something dropped onto the 'stings' for the highest

drop a handful of somethins onto the keyboard - the
person who gets the most recognisable
CUT THE STRINGS OF THE PIANO FIRST AND THEN SEE WHO CAN PUT A hole through the piano.

Even better- dropping famous pianists from a great
height onto a piano. Liberace, Mrs. Mills, Bobby Crush
( how appropriate!) and Charlie Kunz. The one who does
the most damage is the winner.

Dear Friends,
As we understand it, Al Hansen's first piano drop works began in Germany
where Mr. Hansen served in the US Army after the Second World War.
This was long before Mr. Hansen had ever heard of Yoko Ono and long before
Ms. Ono began working as an artist.
We have never seen this work
