Hello, I am new to FOP, and tried to run the samples that follow the

Hi,
I will note the type of extension you are considering.
I am going to commit an example extension of a different type to the cvs
trunk. This works in a slightly different way but demonstrates the concept.

As long as development of the C# version does interfere with the development

I'm not sure what the problem was, but I think you're right, it had
something to do with jars. I just went and got the FOP jars again and
started over and it worked! Thanks everyone for the help.

Does anyone has a working servlet which serves PDF requests in one shot.
Thanks

Blame Microsoft. Your *browser* is requesting it twice. It isn't a fault in
the servlet.
If you don't set any of the cache properties in the response header
(returned PDF) to no-cache (or expires immediately, or whatever equivalent),
IE 5.5 is smart enough to internally return it's own cache on the second hit
(at least in my experience).

Simply replace "" by "amp;".
Your XML parser will certainly prefer that

I think Matt was saying that you *shouldn't* set no-cache in order to fix
the problem of IE fetching twice.
However in my experience you need to set no-cache

I don't set no-cache. I control caching by adding a unique string (current
time in milliseconds) the query string. That way if the browser calls the
exact same string, which can only happen when it is repeating the same
internal request, it is allowed to use it's own internal cache.

Matt,
I've written the following sample fo document that puts in continued on

the fo:flow so it cannot be implemented in the fo:table-header but
instead in a table palced in the region-before. This is not a problem if
We have an odd problem. When we go to a JSP that generates the PDF, on a

plugin is activated and the PDF shows up in the browser). If we go to the

Thanks Chuck. I think I can actually get this to work if I move my current
table header into a separate mirror table in the region-before.
But at least on my lab report, it's going to involve moving a whole lot of
the nested table structure into static-content. Also the table headers will

The web.xml file in fop.war is bad. Open the .war, and remove the
servlet-mapping element with /servlet/fop in it. The extra
servlet-mapping child element violates the DTD. The corrected web.xml file
should be:

Hello,
I'm trying to make a page with centered tables on each page. One example to

Another easier way would probably be to use

None of these are implemented
