Clay, Simon and Andreas,
thank you for your feedback. I haven't found any problems, either. I'm
going to clear FOP for final migration. I'm unsure about Batik at this
point, however.
Andreas, your question doesn't sound stupid. It's simply that Subversion

Luca,
your pointers were 100% on target! It took a few other things around
that but the issue seems to be fixed now.
If you look at the code, you can see that this functionality could
theoretically also be useful for line-breaking. Especially when we have
side floats some day this could be very
Rajiv,
no, there is no such patch. The PS Renderer currently doesn't support
Japanese fonts (or any other TrueType font). You can try to create PDF
instead and use GhostScript to convert the PDF to PostScript as a
possible work-around.

Is there any sample documentation on how to do logging with Fop 1.0dev.
The previous Fop had examples right in the distribution, but I can't find
anything there, or on the web for sample code of how to do logging. (All the

This means that on a standard JDK 1.4 (or higher) system JCL uses JDK

I'm currently hanging on IRC with Henri Yandell to coordinate the
migration. Our CVS repositories are about to be locked any second now.
