obey the keep_with_next when there is an
external-graphics as the first element in the
list-item-body.
Anything wrong with that? Any pointers in the right
direction?

Hi Jeff-
I am working on almost the same software. I am using
docbook-xsl 1.41. I found the easiest way to figure
out where a problem is occuring is to just start
erasing parts of my document from the bottom up until
the problem goes away. Then, you will eventually be
able to figure out which

I am starting to work my way through the code, and was
wondering if anyone could help me out and let me know

Hi Mike-
Yes, that is the way to convert xml to pdf. And, you
need to do it to every file before the user can read
it in a PDF viewer.
An alternative, if you are serving the PDF via a
webserver is to use Cocoon. With Cocoon2 you can set
it up such that when the web server gets a request for

Hi all-
I have list-item-label and list-item-body kept
together on the same page. I will need a lesson in
the etiquette of presenting the changes. Should I
send the full class files to this list? Attempt to
diff the class files? A little advice woudl be good.
As for what I did:
FONode.java
eas();
}
Area parentArea;
int numAreas = this.allAreas.size();
for(int i=0; i < numAreas; i++) {
parentArea =
((Area)allAreas.elementAt(i)).getParent();
parentArea.removeChild
((Area)allAreas.elementAt(i));
}
this.marker = 0;
}

My firewall does not allow IP tunneling. Without that
even WinCVS doesn't help.

Patch that keeps list-item-label and list-item-body
together when list-item-body returns AREA_FULL_NONE.
In my case, this happens when an external graphic is
the first element within list-item-body and causes a
page break. This leaves a number at the bottom of one
page without a body.
These pat

I think this is a bad precendent. In FOP 0.19
fo:table-and-caption produces a table. But, in FOP
0.20.1 is reported as being
unsupported in this version, and produces no output.
Why? Is that really a good idea?

Hi Arved-
I submitted patches against 20.1 to do an effective
keep-with-next on list-item-label and list-item-body,
except I assumed an implied keep-with-next on
list-item-label. I would be glad to work with bodo on
this time permitting. It would probably be best, so

Hi Arved-
I didn't get any reply that the patch was comitted,
and I am stuck behind a firewall that doesn't allow IP
tunneling. So, I don't have access to the CVS
repository.

Hi Bodo-
First, I don't think I qualify as better overlooking
FOP, since my one and only contribution is getting
that list-item thing to do what I wanted. But, here
are some things I found out during that process, and
answered below:

It appears to work with FOP 0.19 for people who are
using older versions of FOP. Took my picture intensive
PDF from 35MB to 4MB.
