We should probably have a 0.21 release sometime in the next two weeks.

Things that will need doing are:
- testing for any unnoticed problems
- building and putting the release on the server
- update the website to reflect the new version
- changes list, todo list, status etc.

We could have a hold on new features or major changes for a few days and
then when everything is done it will be available.
So who is going to help out?

There seems to have been a lack of communication here, or some confusion.
FOP-0.20.2 (and the RC is good to go, essentially...the only thing that is
holding me up is the CHANGES file) is _not_ a release that contains any
extra support for markers. My apologies if we gave that impression.

Re: ETA on 0.20.2

2001-10-08 Thread Arved Sandstrom

Hi, Lou

It's probably easiest for me to fix up marker support, since I threw the
existing code in there in the first place. It even worked, after a fashion,
for a number of scenarios (although it didn't inherit properties from its
virtual parent in the static-content, but rather from its lexical parent). So
there is a lot already there.

I apologise for not working on it. I have been hung up terribly on working on
the CHANGES file in the latest distro- I am going to abandon that until we
come up with a better system. So I should be able to work on markers, because
in fact I have had enough time recently, I've just been pissing it away on
one $@!* administrative file.

Arved Sandstrom

Hi Keiron,

I'll fix the bug 3531 (column-number attribute not working on
table-column) before the release unless you're already working on it.
Also willing to give a hand with updating the website.

PS. I'm working away on LayoutManager ideas and hope to contribute
something before or on the coming weekend.

If nothing else you can always count on me to do the release stuff. Mind
you, if someone else _really_ wants to do that, I won't complain. But I do
have it down.

If we shoot for a 0.20.1 release, say on 30 September, then I'd say we hold
any new commits after 25 September. Objections?

And I do really need to address markers. Thanks for the prod.
