Re: Requested MARC to update mailing archives

2005-04-25 Thread Jeremias Maerki
Eyebrowse is discontinued. There's an effort under way to establish
a map of Eyebrowse links to the mod_mbox archives. And they want to add
full text search using Lucene to mod_mbox. No idea when that is going to
happen though. :-(

Did you also request the same from Eyebrowse? I can
do so again if it would help.

I did on 2005-03-04 and got no response. Thanks for retrying.

Requested MARC to update mailing archives

2005-04-24 Thread Glen Mazza
I don't know if someone else has done so earlier (I
recall Chris raising the issue a few weeks back), but
I sent an email yesterday to the MARC list[1] asking
them to switch their FOP lists to our new @xmlgraphics
addresses. I hope they will do so--our present
archives lists aren't very good--there's no searching
capability, etc.

I think there are plans to add full text search using Lucene into
mod_mbox.

Ah, didn't remember that one. Too bad, the archives are now split
between the old and the new name there.

I don't think so.
Last time I contacted them directly via mail and they did set up the
fop-user archive within hours.
Its a tad inconvenient not being able to view previous posts on fop-dev
ATM.
As Jeremias already mentioned, mod_mbox seems to work (but has no
searching yet):
http://mail-archives.eu.apache.org/mod_mbox/xmlgraphics-fop-dev/200503.mbox/threads.html

fop-dev is also availabe at The Mail Archive:

(looks like there is no link on the FOP website yet...)

I've already sent a request to MARC but so far no response, nor action.
Eyebrowse is being put to the grave as far as I know. mod_mbox will take
its place. They are currently creating a system that should map old
Eyebrowse links to the mod_mbox system.
BTW, infrastructure is still not finished with the whole machine
migration and reorganization.

The links on the website to eyebrowse also appear to be broken.

Archives

2005-03-30 Thread Chris Bowditch
I just noticed that the Archives held at MARC only contain posts up until 12th
March when the mailing lists were moved to xmlgraphics. What do we need to do
to ensure all future posts are saved in the Archives?

The links on the website to eyebrowse also appear to be broken.
