Table cell background color bleeds through thin borders.
Does anyone have a workaround, besides thicker borders?

1. Can footnotes be set under the column in which they appear instead of
page widt footnotes?
2. Problem: My footnotes always run over the body text when using 2
column mode. 1 column mode everything works great. I have also tried my
XML and XSL

No. The footnote area spans the full body width by specification.
