Have you tried a different cable? :)

Have you checked the output of show ru - do you see wsm
boot int in the configuration?
If so: remove it!!!
It looks like you are doing an upgrade from a very old code. You do need
to boot the BP in interactive mode initially to get the runtime image to
the BP. The upgrade process would look
Hi again,
Another oddity I've come across:
If I change the below config and remove this:
interface ethernet 2/4
ip address 10.11.13.1/24
!
And instead make a vlan with a ve interface like this:
vlan 13
untagged e 2/4
router-interface ve 13
!
int ve 13
ip address 10.11.13.1/24

I hadn't meant to take this off list. In case someone else is

For Multicast to work 100 you do need your Unicast routing protcol to work
first. So make sure all subnet's etc are pingable after you enabled them
for pim.
But yes foundry code is bugged to some extent with multicast. I would make
sure you run at least 3.8 or newer.

On Tue,
I've concluded there's just something wrong with the card. For some reason,
it just causes the ports to enter a blocking state. Other cards and configs
work. The same ports work without this card installed. Different cables
work. The chassis/cards/cables work connected to any number of

This might be a silly question, but I can't get a port to come up on a
ServerIron. I enabled the interface and connected it properly to a
FES-X2402 switch, but the J-B16GC and the J-B2Gx ports just won't come up
and forward.
