Hi group
Here we go again, the old FrameMaker patch number vs. versison number story:
In Help About FrameMaker, I see that my patch number is 9.0p255
When I check the Updates page on the Adobe website however, I see that the
latest patch is p252 (version 9.0.4):
Count me in on this. When I checked for updates on my desktop, the update for
p252 (version 9.0.4) was listed as being needed and I updated accordingly;
however, when I check for updates on both of my laptops (which are at version

Hi Keith,
FrameMaker uses conditions with the Track Text Edits feature; however, while
you can access the properties of these conditions, it doesn't look like you
can change them. For example,
Set oDoc = ActiveDoc;
Get Object Type(CondFmt) Name('FM8_TRACK_CHANGES_DELETED')
DocObject(oDoc)
Hello Framers,
In memory of Bruce Foster, I have released ExtendScript and FrameScript
scripts that duplicate the functionality of his Archive plugin for
FrameMaker 10. If you are using FrameMaker 9 or below, please continue to

The 9.0.4 update had a bit more packed into it at the last minute, but someone
forgot to change the p level on the note. p255 is indeed current.

Does anyone have any suggestions for me?
Thanks in advance,

A WMF exported from Visio? Visio's export filters aren't the best. (I've never
tried WMF, but I know the EPS export is flaky.)
Print to PDF (or, if you have Acrobat and its PDFMaker Office add-in, use
that). Then import the PDF into FM. Works like a charm.

Yes, Visio's third-party export filter for EPS was notoriously and persistently
broken. And when Microsoft bought Visio they simply dropped it from the
product.
It says here that Visio shouldn;t have any such problem with WMF, since that is
a Microsoft-owned format. But my experience has
