Hi,
I had a look at the Adobe site this morning investigating upgrading my
legacy licensed version (v.5.5.6). However, all I saw was a subscription
option. Is a licensed version is available? If so, I would appreciate a
pointer. If subscription is the only option, does usage require the cloud
or
ntelligence! :)

Thanks your collective help, I have finally been able to import and save
the troublesome image file. The secret was to import into GIMP and
export as .GIF. All other intermediate formats I tried (about twenty of
them) failed. I also tried several other tools, including Preview and
Mathematica,
- I have tried .PNG and .TIFF plus JPEG-2000, which resulted in the same
message.
- I can successfully import some JPEG's but I don't understand how they differ
from the
ones that fail.
Any thoughts on what the error message might mean? Is there any way to ask
Adobe?
Thanks.
Spencer

Hi,
I have a legacy version of Framemaker (v5) and a collection of .fm files that I
am trying to edit.
One of the edits tries to add a .jpeg image to a file. To do this, I create and
select an empty
Graphics frame. I then click on File -> Import -> File... I then navigate to
the .jpeg file and
