Also, I "kind of" remember that you can set the footnotes to appear in the last
row of the table, instead of after it? (Sorry, I don't have Frame loaded and
it's been a few years.)

Does the table have a lot of space after it that's constraining it?

Hi Tammy,
You can generate a list of references and specify imported graphics. I don't
have frame loaded but I'm pretty sure the graphic name will include the file
extension, so you could search for ".png". Each list item will be hyperlinked
to the graphic.
Hope this helps.
Best,

Hi Karen,
Are para formats correctly named with no surface formatting in the original?
What happens if you don't include the title and header when you convert? If
that's ok, you could manually add the title and column headers after. Not great
but a little better.
Good luck and have a good LD we
I'm with Mike; thanks so much for making this list possible! I haven't used
Frame for a few years and I know this would be an invaluable resource should I
ever get back to Frame.
Thank you!Best,Louise

Hi Dennis,
When I have missing fonts, I first do a search and replace with the Find
Dialogue box. I check each occurrence and replace as appropriate with a font
that's commonly used in the file (or you may need to get the font from your
source, if it's truly needed). You generally don't want to
Hi Art -
The translation company I used to work for had a Trados department that would
create an extra file (we called it the ancil, but I think it's the same as the
variable file Alison mentioned) that contained all the autonumbering and
variable text that's used in the Frame files. The transl
Hi Kevin,
It sounds like you may have two text frames on top of each other. To check, I
would save or make a copy of the file, then select the text frame and move (I
would nudge it, rather than use my cursor) or delete it. You could also
generate a list of graphics and it would show if there ar
Hi Gillian,
I don't have Frame available, so if I remember correctly (fingers crossed),
here's how you can make a custom bullet:
Draw a Graphic Frame on the Reference Pages and if the art file size is small
enough, I'd copy, not reference it into the frame. Name the Graphic Frame, for

Hi Lin,
FWIW, I vote for separate chapter files too. I prefer the generated TOC and
Index book files, instead of generating standalone files and pasting them in
manually.

Hi -
If you right-click on the folder the PDF is in (on the server), do you get the
option to "Restore previous versions"? That should be an option for either your
local drive or the network.
If no one has any of the other files in that folder open, I would move the
contents elsewhere, restore
Hi Monique,
Can you restore the folder the PDF is in, to just before you mistyped the
password?

Hi Tammy,
Is the runaround turned off? I think it's automatically on when you import
graphics and you have to turn it off individually, unless you have a macro or
script to turn them all off at once (which I wish I had).
Also, Gravity should be deselected.
Hope this helps. :-)

Hi -
I always distill a .ps file but had a client with cover art that would only
print using Frame's "Save As PDF". I couldn't tell you why, but I don't really
trust making a PDF this way, so I would extract just the cover page from the
"Save As PDF" file, and replace the cover in a PDF I made
Hi Karen,
If you make a PDF do these lines show up? If not, your table is just flowing
outside the end of the text frame.

Visio's never worked for us so we made PDFs and imported those. Sounds like
that could be the same fate for DWG's.

Hi Caroline,
Since you're already in Explorer, you can drag the book or file and drop it in
the FrameMaker "ribbon" area where the drop-down menus are.
