The only simple option in FM is to change from a regular underline to a numeric underline - this will change the spacing (slightly) but also change the line weight.  Neither underlining style is adjustable, so you will have to test to see if you like the result. As others have said, there are

I don't know any way to adjust the spacing but if you want an underline that's further away from the text, you can use the numeric underline. It's available from the character designer and the font tab of the paragraph designer. Anne On
