Hi:
I'm currently using a Frame 7.x/WWP 8.x toolset.
We want to move to Frame 8 so SMEs can take advantage of the new
track changes functionality to make changes.
Can I use Frame 8 with WWP 8.x or would we have to upgrade to
ePublisher Pro?
Thanks,
Ron

Hi
I am using Frame 8.0 and I am wondering if there is a way to change the
toolbar icons for Plain, Bold and Italics similar to the previous
versions of 7 and 7.1. The icons currently used are in the form of a T.
Thanks
Brian

ARGH!
Thank you, Scott. I did try that, but I think I was in the "other" .ini
file. Then I just tried other numbers, which theoretically SHOULD have
worked, but didn't This did, so thank you very much!

Hi Jon,
Yes. Quadralay makes (made) a utility called WebWorks Publisher Import
Utility that allows you to import from HTML files into Frame (or Word)
files. Works very nicely and it *does* do batch imports. You can select
any number of HTML files to import into a single Frame file. Well, maybe
not

Hi Lin...
Are you changing the StructureView/Postiion values in this INI file ..
C:\Documents and Settings\\Application
Data\Adobe\FrameMaker\7.2\maker.ini
Just set the first two values to 0 and it should come back when you
restart FM.

I think I'd contact Jeremy at Omsys (support at omsys.com) and see if
they have or can customize a version of MIF2Go for you.
Just in passing, I'd never try to get all that into a single FM file,
but breaking it into chunks that are put together with a book file
would work smoothly.

Hi Jon...
The best path I've seen is to use Perl to merge all of the files into a
single HTML file, and use HTML Tidy to convert that to XHTML. You can
open the XHTML file in Frame using the XHTML structure application.
