I know of no good books for FM 10. Like Nadine, I recommend the Scriptorium
book. I used it when upgrading from FM 7 to 10 and found it much more
useful than the FM 9 Classroom in a Book. Another unhelpful one is
Introduction to FM 9 for Windows by Underwood.
Lynda.com has excellent basic tutorial
tutorials on both FM 10 and Acrobat X.

Hi Theresa,
You may want to post the script on the FrameScript group at
groups.yahoo.com. It is difficult to know what is happening without seeing
the code.

The FM10 manual states that FM internally uses UTF-8. Maybe knowing that
will help you in your single-sourcing to ASCII, assuming that FM to PDF is

Hi all,
I'm working on a project where a large document was originally in a database
(I don't know what software) that was updated and posted online as some sort
of html document. The database was then converted to a Word file which I
subsequently converted to frame. The whole document rendered
Hi,
The TOC and Index in my book file do not retain their custom page size
settings (7 x 8.5) when a PDF is generated using Framescript.
I can create the PDF with correct page size settings when I print to PDF
manually.
Is there something special with Framescript that I need to know about? I
Hi Stephen
On your master page, draw a text frame in the footer where you want the
variable to go. When it asks what kind of frame, make it a background text
frame. Then you can just put the variable in that frame like normal.

Hi,
You do not need to install or run in XP compatibility mode
for FrameMaker 8 on Windows 7.
Apart from that I also do not have more suggestions
other than those which were already posted:
Administrator privileges
Copy installation files on hard disk.
