RE: Cross reference keyboard shortcut

This is not really a keyboard shortcut, but a shortcut in general. My
friend and co-worker Steve Agin suggests: Just right click the mouse and
select Cross Reference.

You can also use the following key combination, which I find a little
 easier: ALT+s c

For general menu access, I also prefer the old Windows (DOS?) Alt key
shortcut over any similar Esc shortcuts. It is easier to remember and it
works in virtually any program.

Yes, but FrameMaker's Escape key sequence commands work on all
FrameMaker platforms, Windows, Mac and UNIX. There are some users who
work in FrameMaker on more than one platform, so they only have to learn
one FrameMaker keystroke set.

That's fine. As I said-- *I* prefer. I was not telling you what to do.

The new Macs don't even run Classic, so the Mac version is beyond EOL.
(Of course, one could dig up an old Mac, and old copy of FrameMaker for Mac,
and run it into the ground--or one could hack Classic on an Intel Mac--but
that was not the point.)

Unix users tend to be more tech savvy than many Windows users, so they tend
to already know to look for shortcuts.

In *my* Frame training, I would say it is 99.9% Windows users. Only one
company I've run into had some Unix users mixed in. Of the Windows users,
most of them are switching from Word. I (still) feel that on a
single-platform, the Alt key is easier to use for Windows users.

Tap and release these keys in sequence: Esc s c (lowercase matters), for
Special Cross Reference. Navigate the dialog box to choose what you need.
