Howdy All I'm unhappily using FM9 on XP. Any theories why my Updates option is grayed out? Several days ago I had the corrupted dictionary file event. Reinstalled FM, renamed the dictionaly file. FM launches, but Adobe PDF virtual printer is gone (and won't reinstall) and the Updates optio

No such entry "DontShowWelcomeScreen=Off" exists on my Win XP FM9 maker.ini, in either location. Now that you mention it, I think one of the Adobe's FrameMaker development team had posted it as a tip a while back. The entry needs to be made manually the first time. Put it in the [Preferences]

Is there a way to get rid of the splash screen on Frame 9 {Windows XP}? Thanks, In maker.ini, change "DontShowWelcomeScreen=Off" to "On". I believe you can either change this in the FrameMaker program directory to affect everyone, or put it as a line in C:\Documents and Settings\\Application
