Richard,
It's possible to select different parts of the autonumber string and
apply a character format to 'em so you can affect format changes
within the string.
For instance, by painting part of the "checkbox" string, you can
invoke Zapf (or whatever) and then change fonts so whatever comes
after

Not in FM 6 or 7. Is this one of the big enhancements in 7.2? It didn't
make Adobe's "key new features"
Pretty easy
Create a new character format with everything set to AsIs except the
font, which needs to be ZapfDingbats.
Then modify the Bullet para tag slightly: change the Autonumber string
to something like this, so that it contains a lower case o: (o\t).
Paint the o with the new Zapf charac

Karyn,
I'm sure there are other ways to do it, but the way we handle it is:
1. Set up a new character format using the desired font that contains the
kind of checkbox you want to use.
2. Set up a new paragraph format using autonumbering with the character
format you set up in step 1 and

Hi All,
I want to put a check box in front of a list of items to create a
checklist. How can I do this in FrameMaker? My first thought was to
substitute a box for bullets, but is that possible? And if so, how is it
done? Or is there another way to accomplish this?
