Update to FrameMaker 12 (FM 12.0.3)
Framers, Today our product management team announced a point release free upgrade for users of FrameMaker 12. You can read all about it in the blog at the following URL: http://adobe.ly/1BiFryz Categories mentioned include: Responsive HTML5 output is now faster and better Additional publishing enhancements (FM Only) == FrameMaker 12 can now publish the content in the reference pages as well for all non-PDF outputs. == The non-PDF publishing for large files with many images is now faster with 50% reduction in publishing time. Huzzah! :-) And *do* go read the update/defect remediation list at http://helpx.adobe.com/framemaker/release-note/framemaker-12-0-3-readme.html There are some features I would never have even thought to look for in the Table enhancements, and *finally!!*: * Show/hide Conditional Text dialog is resize-able * Cross Reference dialog is resize-able * If a user is currently at a specific location in a document, the corresponding tags are highlighted in the following catalogs: o Paragraph o Character o Table o Object style Kudos to the development team! Update for FrameMaker 12
Hi, There is already an update for FrameMaker 12 which fixes some bugs: 1. Generating a list or an index of references (imported graphics) results in a blank file. (Ref#: 3703081) 2. The Search and Replace feature causes any replaced text to be formatted in Times New Roman with size as 12pt Default. This is irrespective of font and font-size of the replaced text. (Ref#: 3703070) 3. Accessing WebHelp locally (not accessing the help via a Web Server) from Chrome on Mac does not show TOC search. (Ref#: 3703173) 4. When a Glossary / Glossaryterm is not present in the first .fm file of a book, the Glossary popup feature does not work for any of the .fm files in the book. (Ref#: 3703172) 5. When a window-intensive application like the Lotus Notes is open, then FrameMaker takes long time to open Publish pod or the workspace containing Publish pod. (Ref#: 3703168) 6. FrameMaker crashes on printing a book in unstructured mode. Hi Matt, The Adobe Application Manager started to search for updates. The PDF with the release info was installed in the FrameMaker installation folder.
