Hm, actually this is a nanobsd script, tools/tools/nanobsd/nanobsd.sh.
The failing call is in install_etc().
By the way, I had to add -DDB_FROM_SRC to the 'make distribution' call
there, because otherwise it fails here with 'required used auditdistd
now found'.

There are offloading capabilities present, but apparently VirtualBox
virtio doesn't do it correctly.
Running
# ifconfig vtnet0 -tso
solves the problem, I can log in via ssh just fine.

I just cvsuped sources for current, was able to build world succesfully
but kernel build failes at this point:
linux_sysent.c:21: sizeof applied to an incomplete type
linux_sysent.c:21: warning: built-in function 'exit' used without
declaration
linux_sysent.c:21: warning: cast discards
that -O option is used by default, but i think that
unnecesary code should be commented out or deleted from sources
because such tricks decrease readability and create problems described
above.

i have installed today's world and now cannot compile almost anyting (incuding the

i do not use devfs. anyway, the patch by Maksim Yevmenkin doesn't

i'm experiencing a problem with vmware2 build 570 (installed from
ports) and latest kernels. vmware runs perfectly with kernel built on
July, 3, but crashes my box with later kernel versions (July, 6 and
