It's come to my attention that the FreeBSD ports system has very poor support
for Ada and Ada software in general.

The mtime updates are still there,
see from_cache() in ccache.c.
Using the file atimes wouldn't work well because they can be
accidentally updated by file searches, and a lot of filesytems
are mounted with noatime anyway.

This wont damage packages, but it can cause two "make checksums" to get
locked in a cycle of deleting each other's files and end with one
getting a failed checksum.

Is this use of hard links something I should expect to see looking forward or
is it an error?
