i need to write a for-loop that will read the 1st line in a aliase file
and grep a passwd file for that user...if that user doesnt exsist in the
passwd file go the 2nd line and grep the passwd file for that user ...and
so on
anyone have any suggestions ?

we currently have a data center thats using a NetApp Veritas Cluster of
all Sun equipment. We also would like to add one of our freebsd servers to
this cluster. Has anyone done this ? or is it even possible.

sh Build install-cf
then go back to the sendmail dir by doing
cd ../../sendmail
then run:
sh Build install
thats it ...your done ...upgraded sendmail :-)

hello,
Im in the middle of a re-structuring the email server for a large company.
They want to have a webmail interface so that they can access thier email
remotly or from abroad. My question is that currently they are using a
windows imail server (uhg) I want to move them to a unix platform
to only happen when trasnferring files across the LAN to the
machine ..anyone have any thoughts

squid so that the people on our LAN go through ..im doing this to because
id rather not have my users going to BAD sites on the net.
is this possible with squid ? or is there another proxy server on FBSD
that i should use ?

im trying to install snmpd on my freebsd machine...
it successfully gets through ./configure
but fails on the make with the following error

file systems
between 2 machines running FBSD 4.9RC. I have rsync installed and i run a

Here are the docs i used when using ADSL w/ PPPoE and NAT w/ IPFW
there are 2 writeups here ...first is PPPoE (im assuming you already know
how to compile your kerel ?) 2nd is Duel Home host ...and how to setup
NAT.

Im having the same issue .. I install per the way shown below
cd /usr/ports/databases/mysql323-server
make install clean
cd /usr/ports/www/apache13-modssl
make install clean
cd /usr/ports/www/mod_php4
make install clean
but php4 doesnt work ...is ther some flags or options that need to be put

Sorry to jump into the middle of this thread, but I have recently
installed Apache 1.3x, mod_php4, and mysql on a 4.7 box. I simply
installed apache from the ports, mod_php from the ports and mysql from
the ports. The mod_php port asks what
want but I have confidence you
