Try launching FireFox in a terminal emulator, do you get an error
message related to cubeb_refill_stream? To fix the error
try either setting media.use_cubeb - false in about:config
or rebuild audio/alsa-plugins with ARIFF_OSS disabled.

will record something from kuow.org while I watch one of my favorite tv
broadcasts. most of the time, nothing is on tv, but this one radio
broadcast, AR co-insides with NOVA at 21:00.

I use HRT music streamer, which uses uaudio driver. But in mplayer when I
play a movie, it sounds normal for some time and then suddenly plays no
sound at all. it is not muted and mplayer recognizes that it works
correctly. Only after reboot ,it sounds again, but as above it dies after

A quick look at Icecast showed that it does not support multicast either.
It this true? If so, Icecast is completely useless for my scenario.
AFAIK very few media streamers (or none) actually support real IPv4

I have just upgraded to 8.2-STABLE (sources from today) and now my
audio does not work as it should, its all very, very quiet, even at levels
100/100 for PCM/VOL with mixer, also when I plug in the headphones
they are deaf and sound still plays on the speakers, below are some
