- sometimes the photos, mostly the JPG I guess, appear visible but in a deep
purple shade.
Is it just on my comp? If not I will file a bug report the the
Firefox-developers.
Thank you

purple shade.
Take a screenshot, upload it to a hosting site, have a friend look at the
photo with a different monitor.
Failure modes for certain monitors may show these symptoms, or you may have
a loose cable to the video card.
Let us know how it works out.

Hi Daemons,
a short question:
I can delete the .tar.gz files from /usr/ports/distfiles - is this correct?
Not that some port tree management goes crazy (dependencies or such)..
Thanks

Hi Daemons,
a little question:
I open a shell and invoke:
#xmessage
font somewhere, so that i.e. xmessage appears always in
the preset, bigger font without typing the whole -fn -*-* string in?
Somewhere in .xinitrc?
Checked the man pages, but its a science to find a solution there.
Thanks

RELENG_6_1/RELENG_6_2 is EOL since May 31, 2008 (announced in May 2006!).
You should have upgraded your system (to RELENG_6_3) before this date!

/usr/games/strfile
..not there. Checked with locate, no strfile anywhere on 7.1!
Maybe it came with a port download of a game? Did they forget it on 7.1?
Cheers

Hi List,
a short question: Is there an easy way to get a keyboard-beep (each letter
beeping when you type, like an old terminal)?
Maybe there is some straight forward settings - before I start to experiment..
Thank you!

to locate all the dir names
starting with p5-* ?
Any pointer in this direction will be appreciated.
% cd /usr/ports
% find . -name p5\-* | wc -l
3360
Good idea? Then try:
% sudo portmaster -i */p5\-*

I have tried:
# portmaster -rdf p5-
But that didn't work as I had to re-install all ports…
Have you tried portmaster without -rf ?
