Well, I installed teTeX via packages but then there was no Xdvi. I think I haven't installed the mentioned meta port. But nice to know that such thing exists. It it not in ports (yet) but I think currently the best solution is to install the TeXLive distribution that you can download from CTAN. It is the most comprehensive TeX distribution out there. I use teTeX, and as part of the installation I've xdvi.
