Local mail delivery can be specific: mail could be delivered even is
no smtp server is running. This is highly dependant of your
environment

I have determined what the problem is with sendmail - only root can
send mail.
Here are the messages from maillog (notice the root emails are sent ok,
the www emails are not) -

Looks like your permissions are fubar'd. I assume you're running the
standard sendmail daemon that comes with the system. If you're
running the ports
anyone know how to send the mail in root's Maildir to another user i
have forwarded the the root address already but need the mail that is
already sitting in that account.
