Delete keystrokes that are incorrectly handled by either PuTTY or
FreeBSD when connecting to a FreeBSD system from a Windows workstation
with PuTTY. No need to mention that when it comes to Linux everything

I've been beating on freebsd diskless for awhile now and would love to
see some hard docs on it. My current goal is to get an iPaq IA1 stable
under FreeBSD diskless using nothing but a 32M CF card and a USB nic.
I'm oh so close but still dealing with random locks under load.

putty on win to freebsd works ok for me, except for bitchx, so I just set

I have had two instance's when using the 3com card that the bsd box
reboot's, when transferring alot of data to it. I have also had machine's
complete lockup. I now use Realtek 8029/8139 and not a single problem.

I've successfully installed FreeBSD 4.7-stable (now customized to run
the sound card) on my Toshiba Satellite notebook; the video (1024x768,
16bit) is running ok, there was a problem with the keyboard (ssomme
keyys wass haavving this behhavioor), and solved. I'm listing the

Is anyone currently using the 350AV? I got the serial cable, and the apcupsd
daemon starts up just fine now. I chose "backups" as UPSTYPE, and
"940-0128A" as UPS-CABLE. I set the TIMEOUT to 30, hoping it would initiate
a shutdown in 30 seconds. Alas, nothing happened. :( I see nothing in the

I have some perl modules I installed with cpan and portupgrade
always kicks back these errors: I'm not clear on how to fix the
"missing origin" stuff. Anyone got the clue-by-four for me?

Hello,
could someone that is running FreeBSD 5.0-DP2 send me a copy of their
/etc/defaults/pccards.conf file? I think i need to add a line to my
pccards.conf for 4.7 and i don't want to upgrade or install to the new
version.
