If you were to build a server using FreeBSD 6.2 , basically for home use,
serving media files, small web server, basically a very small load, which
motherboard would you recommend? Mid range as far as price is concerned.

I'm having problems updating samba. I have tried uninstalling the old version
then doing a make install clean and even tried reinstalling the old one then
using portupgrade, but still no luck the system is telling me because of
vulnerabilities in samba 3.0.24,1 it won't work, update my ports tr
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. I'm following the UPDATING
file in /usr/ports, I'm trying to upgrade to Xorg 7.2.0 things were
running smoothly up until pkgdb -F reachded xdriinfo-1.0.1_1, here is the
output..

Does anyone know if this card is supported in FreeBSD 7.0? Or if there is a
way to get it to work in 6.2. I installed it with the ndisgen. Everything
sets up fine, but as soon as it tries to send a packet, the kernel panics.
Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Hey appreciate the info and would love to get mine up and running, but
the version of the if_ral_pci.c that I have is 1.2.x.x something. I'm
running 6.2 p4. Which cvs tag did you use to get the 1.5 version of
the ral driver...
