Is there a way to find out how many memory modules are in a
machine e.g. whether it is 2*1G=2G or 4*512M=2G of RAM. I dont have

Hi!
Is there a way to change the timeout value for which the resolver waits
before going to the second nameserver in resolv.conf, in case the first
nameserver couldnt reply.
Can it be done without touching the code for resolver.

Hi!
I havent tried the exact same board, but I have installed freebsd 4.4 on
other boards with C3 CPU on it. I have also used the cubePC (shown on the
site) with Freebsd 4.3 on it.
I dont recollect any problems that I have faced while loading freebsd.

Thanks for the help. I think LiveCD should do the job. I will have
to customize it a bit, but I think I can handle that.

Hi all!
Can I use something like
dd if=/dev/ad0 of=/dev/ad1
to copy every thing from first drive to the second and be able to boot
from the second drive? Do I need to specify block size ? The second drive
doesnt have anything on it (filesystem or slices).

to mount the new drive let alone boot from it. Mostly I must have done
something wrong. I dont have access to another drive or else I could have
tried it again. Let me know if any block size will do or should it be
specific.

Hi all!
Thanks a lot to all those who replied. I will try to convince them
to use sudo, as most of you have mentioned that it is a better option than
changing /etc/passwd. If it doesnt work with them then I will use the
second option of changing passwd.
Thanks once again.
