I were looking for information about when Freeciv project started
(just playing with the idea of releasing 3.0 the year we turn 20).
Noticed from http://freeciv.wikia.com/wiki/Timeline that Civ1 Amiga
500 version was released August 1991, exactly 20 years ago.

Hi there,
Freeciv 2.2.1 in Squeeze:
1) i cannot start a game from the command line.
2) The metaserver page doesn't show up, though a browser can connect to
http://meta.freeciv.org/metaserver.phtml at the same time.
3) client -t option is ignored
all Freeciv* packages are installed.
Follow-up Comment #2, patch #2891 (project freeciv):
What is the status of the ftwl client? Is it still supported or short of be
removed? Should were be patches for it (new features)?

Uh, 2.2.1 is quite old by now. Latest bugfix release from S2_2 is

Oh, your metaserver URL is missing protocal part http://;.
In fact
1) Correct URL is http://meta.freeciv.org/metaserver.phtml;, though

I noted that Freeciv in the Debian repository is somewhat behind the
times - is there anything we can do on our end to encourage them to step up
to a more recent version, or are we completely at the packager's mercy here?

Whitespace in builddir name works with the patch and even configure has

What's your situation like, can you commit this soon? Committing this sooner
rather than later would give translators more time to adjust their
translations before 2.3.1.
We have no release date for 2.3.1 decided yet, but usually bugs are still

- granary_num_inis is definied as UINT8 in packets.def - generated
packets_gen.h has it as int.

Now, is size of size_t bigger than size of int in that system? Does attached

doesn't mysql_config exist for this very purpose ?
Indeed, but if avoidable, I rather don't make switch to its use in sstable
branch.
It's already used in trunk.
