[Freeciv-Dev] [bug #17749] ai skill level not respected

2011-02-17 Thread Jacob Nevins

Update of bug #17749 (project freeciv):

  Status:None = Confirmed

___

Follow-up Comment #1:

Confirmed. This is similar to bug #16913: the synchronisation between the
client and server is poor.

This one could probably be bodged around without a proper fix by resetting
the client's view of the option to match the server's presumed default
whenever the pregame page is launched.

[Freeciv-Dev] [bug #17746] Rulesetdir failed silently

2011-02-17 Thread Jacob Nevins

Follow-up Comment #1, bug #17746 (project freeciv):

I get error messages on the server console (Ruleset directory foo not
found) if I specify a duff ruleset either interactively or in a script read
with -r.

Was this a manually started server or a client-spawned one? Perhaps this is a
side effect of the fix for bug #15472?

[Freeciv-Dev] [bug #17742] Setting killcitizen messes memory

2011-02-17 Thread Jacob Nevins

Follow-up Comment #1, bug #17742 (project freeciv):

S2_3 is the same as trunk in this regard, I think.

However, in my build at least, (struct packet_game_info).killcitizen (as
instantiated in game.info.killcitizen) is declared as int (even though it's
UINT8 in packets.def). You'd normally (always?) expect this to be the same
size as unsigned -- messy (cf bug #16457) but not actually a memory
scribbler. However, I don't know if the content of packets_gen.h is
machine-dependent or something.

Is this something you found with valgrind?

by the way, is there any message option in order to remove these messages but
keeping at the same times other diplomatic messages?
I found the this deal... message unuseful, because you already know the
outcome looking at thumbs up / down icons.
