Follow-up Comment #10, bug #18243 (project freeciv): Right, so it is specifically the main map view that's blank -- the other parts of the windows (tabs, menubar, side bar) are OK. I've occasionally seen corruption in the main map view at startup, but I've never got it together to raise a bug.
