That would be interesting but i think that the whole "secure firewall with our own packet manager" would be compromised... > Il giorno 12 ago 2017, alle ore 17:20, Pedroha scritto: > > IPFire is an upstream project (but with community and its own package > manager). > > Someone from Freedombox or Debian could consider to include IPFire > code [1] in their project as part of the distribution, so you can > install like `apt-get install ipfire` > > [1] http://git.ipfire.org/ > > On Sat, Aug 12, 2017 at 5:07 PM, Simone Margiotta > wrote: >> Crap! Re: [Freedombox-discuss] VLANs
IPFire is an upstream project (but with community and its own package manager). Someone from Freedombox or Debian could consider to include IPFire code [1] in their project as part of the distribution, so you can install like `apt-get install ipfire` [1] http://git.ipfire.org/ On Sat, Aug 12, 2017 at 5:07 PM, Simone Margiottawrote: > Crap! Re: [Freedombox-discuss] VLANs
Ooh ok i see... that's a shame, i really like the freedombox UI, i think that for the moment i'll just use the freedombox for my basic home network meanwhile i get the hands on IPFire (i really like Debian)... I would like to see in the future the evolution of freedombox maybe with the inclusion of a system dashboard and some advanced routing options. > Il giorno 12 ago 2017, alle ore 14:45, Pierre L.ha > scritto: > > Hey, > > There's no menu about this kind of settings... > Firewall is automatic only... opening ports when enabling Fredombox > managed services. > I remember distrib IPFire for example, it's may be what you are looking > for ? > > But it's Debian, you will be able to play with network rules (by hand > with command lines), but risk to mess up with firewall automatic rules :s > Let's try inside a virtualbox ;) > > > >> Le 12/08/2017 à 11:34, Simone Margiotta a écrit : >> Hi everyone, I really want to use freedombox as my main router so >> there are ways to set up VLANs and do stuff like inter-vlan routing >> and others advanced routing things? >> >> Hope to hear good news from you soon. > > > ___ > Freedombox-discuss mailing list > Freedombox-discuss@lists.alioth.debian.org > http://lists.alioth.debian.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/freedombox-discuss ___ Freedombox-discuss mailing list Freedombox-discuss@lists.alioth.debian.org http://lists.alioth.debian.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/freedombox-discuss
Re: [Freedombox-discuss] VLANs
Hey, There's no menu about this kind of settings... Firewall is automatic only... opening ports when enabling Fredombox managed services. I remember distrib IPFire for example, it's may be what you are looking for ? But it's Debian, you will be able to play with network rules (by hand with command lines), but risk to mess up with firewall automatic rules :s Let's try inside a virtualbox ;) Le 12/08/2017 à 11:34, Simone Margiotta a écrit : > Hi everyone, I really want to use freedombox as my main router so > there are ways to set up VLANs and do stuff like inter-vlan routing > and others advanced routing things? > > Hope to hear good news from you soon. signature.asc Description: OpenPGP digital signature ___ Freedombox-discuss mailing list Freedombox-discuss@lists.alioth.debian.org http://lists.alioth.debian.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/freedombox-discuss
