[Freedos-devel] The new FreeDOS wiki

I wasn't able to finish copying over the content from our old wiki to the new wiki before SourceForge applied another update to their web server, which completely broke the old wiki. But I copied over most of the wiki before then. Two things that are obviously missing are two setup guides:

Hello!I may be confused, but from what I'm reading in the technical emails,FreeDOS is going to be 32-bit.If this is the case,I may have an idea.Make two different types of FreeDOS.Their should be..wellFreeDOS,which will keep updating, but REMAINS 16-bit.The purpose of FreeDOS was to emulate the

There is a FreeDOS-32 project, but they have yet to make a release. Including a 32-bit option for users of FreeDOS has been discussed, but there are currently no plans to do so. If this were ever to happen, I agree with you on using two separate modes of operation. On Wed, Jan 7, 2015 at 8:28

Jim, That's not a lot of choices, and frankly, it's overkill for DOS. I don't know what you think magically happens when you buy it, it's not supported with FreeDOS at all, to them it just saves the MS tax of having to include an OS. These machines don't work better than any others, and

I think it's pretty cool to see vendors including FreeDOS as a pre-installed operating system option. Unfortunately, I think many vendors (and users, probably) view FreeDOS as the equivalent of naked PC, with the intention of installing something else after purchase. I knew that Dell and HP had

Hi, I recommend that you download Ralf Brown's Interrupt List (RBIL), very useful lexicon of programming interfaces and similar. There is hardly any Java going on in DOS, but we use a lot of C and also some Assembly language (e.g. NASM). Some programs are DJGPP (delorie.com) ports of GNU / Linux
