I never imagined being able to use 40% of a 250MB hotmail emailbox (add
3% each hour), but MS manages to not filter these (75KB attachment).
Even the delete junkmail button times out with 1400 emails.

I assume you mean you are receiving lots of emails with viruses
attached, which is not really a virus outbreak, but merely spam
which is normal. Or do you mean the actual Hotmail system has been hit
by a virus?
Something has to send mails with the attachment.. Anyway, looks like a
purge

under the impression that it was ONLY for laplink cables. But I could
be wrong.

link' utility.
