Dear List
I get the following error: „550 Failed to change directory.”
I tried on two operating systems. The wget also doesn’t work. Says the file
doesn’t exist.
Do you get the same errors, or is it specific to my system?

Hi Lau - There is a scheduled outage of the Martinos Center storage
cluster all day today. Please try again later, it has nothing to do with
your system.

I have a patch, but I can't get to it right now because massive computer
upgrades are happening in the Martinos center. Hopefully that will be
done by tomorrow.

By using --sfmt curv and --tfmt curv you are saying that the input and
output formats are curv. But they are nifti. Try removing the --sfmt and
--tfmt (it will automatically detect that they are nifti)

Depending on the version of FS that you are using, the data you want may
already be part of the MC simulation output in a file called something

I have a relevant question about the correlation analysis. If the age has
been controlled for when surface-based analysis is done, do we need to
controll for age again when we do subsequent correlational analysis in SPSS?

Yes, you are just getting the raw data from the ocn.dat file.

Hi Bastian,
yes, I have some code to do what you want. You would duplicate and flip
the good hemisphere in the image and then run FS on the symmetric heads.
This can be done via robust_register and (mis)-using the mid space.
You can find some description of this procedure here:
*Robust and
Hi Bastian,
this is in cases where you need to make the images symmetric so that
recon-all processing works, but then do the analysis on the original
(non flipped) hemisphere in each subject. You should not use this to do
a point wise comparison between left (original healthy) and flipped
Bastian, you can use the interhemispheric analysis to do this study. See

A few months ago, someone was trying to do the same thing (or was it
you?). In any event, there should be some info in our mail archives

Hello Freesurfer experts,
In a study I found significant differences in the volume of the left and
right vessels of the freesurfer atlas.
I wanted to know what regions are included in that ROI and if there are any
known functions of these regions.
Thank you

Hello Alex,
I created the FreeSurfer VM and you are correct that the Virtual Box
host is 32bit. I cant remember exactly why I did it that way, but I
suspect it may have been in an effort to reduce overall size, as the
gzipped size of the .vdi file is 9gigs. Also, it was created more as

Hi all,
I'm trying to use Freeview to display subcortical regions in aseg.mgz with
