Why can't we set DISPLAY to directfb in freevo.conf? Many people I am sure would like to use directfb and don't have a mga, like those on using the VIA EPIA's CLE266 videocard :-) This is all I needed to get it going. Mplayer accepts directfb as a valid output option, and tvtime will set

For people who have been having problems with DirectFB/dfbmga in mplayer in terms of judder and other problems during fast motion, I'm curious if you've tried the matroxfb vsync irq patch. I couldn't get it to apply but I'd like to see if that fixes the weird artifacts when playing movies with

Well, i set up a freevo box with a pvr250 and a g400 using directfb some days ago and the output quality, especially the recorded pvr250 streams looked perfect. Live tv viewing was horrible though, lots of stuttering/judder but i don't care a lot about that since i can use the tv in regular
