I have an standalone freevo box, with a bt878 tv card and (usually) without a
keyboard. I use mplayer to watch and record tv, because tvtime didn't give
good results. Well, the quality is more or less good, but I want to adjust it
better. I'm talking about bright, colour, etc. I know that
I'm using Xine for movie playback in Freevo and I'm having a problem
with Xine-lib 1.1.2-r2. The audio is not in sync with the video. It's
a known bug and hopefully it will be fixed soon. Gentoo removed older
versions of Xine-lib from portage, so I have to live with this until
it gets fixed by the

Fair question, but it seems I had done that.
I would guess that without it xine would fail.
