Ok. Thanks for everyone weighing in on this. I've decided to stick with

Roland,
for classic you have Kaleidoscope (http://www.kaleidoscope.net/)
for OSX, visit Resexcellence (http://www.resexcellence.com/themes/)
In both cases you can have a windows (agh!) look. :-)

What an ODD request. If they want a START button, get a Wintel PC.
Or maybe get Virtual PC? But other than that, maybe they should learn
how to use MacOS. It's wunderful!

The BW G3 wasn't made to support Airport. You will have to get a third
party Wireless option. I would look for something that might plug into a PCI
Slot, or USB Port.

Hello, All,
I have a G4 with the Apple Internal v.90 56k modem. My connection rate
to a local ISP is almost always at 26,400 bps. On very rare occasions,
it connects at 28,800 bps.
What can I do to get a speedier connection? What questions, if any,
should I ask of my ISP?

Hi,
I'm thinking about high-speed access. Presently I'm on dialup and
have no cable TV. I can get a one-way package for $77/month. They
call it Broadband Super Package, and it includes both cable TV and
internet access.
They also offer 2-way access for $85.
1. What's the scoop on 1-way access?
I personally miss the apple/applications button in the top right corner
of the screen of Mac OS Classic. I currently run Mac OS X 10.2.6 and
the dock just doesn't do it for me. The app switcher/finder in the
top left had corner was great too in Mac OS Classic. I know there are
apps to

What Len said.
I agree w/ evrything Len explained on broadband - one taste and you'll throw
your old modem away (except for the odd fax-out, but then, you'll have
attachments!). I've used it since its inception here in the Fort (Wayne),
and have loved it. My only difference in monthly cost

You have to have a phone line return. Do you want to invest in a dataline
for your cable modem? I bet it costs you more than the $8/mo extra for 2
way. It also limits upload speed to 33.6k or less. The modem has
If memory serves, the only real one way was older satellite
connections which only came to you from the satellite. Then they came
up with sat download and modem upload. Now they have sat both ways.
Any high speed connection is better than dial up. Period. I get my dial

So, the flyback has been installed as of last night.
But before that, while I was at work looking at my nice new

I asked it if I would get the monitor working tonight.
It's reply was Yes.
That sure made me all happy.. So I came home, did
