466MHZ, 533MHZ, dual 533MHZ, 667MHZ, and a 733MHZ.
Cool thing about these machines is that you can put a Quicksilver Processor
in it, with one simply modification. I put a 733MHZ QS processor in a single
533MHZ DA and
Dude, just google LeopardAssist. It isn't even real hacking and is the best
way to install Leopard on a G4 slower than 867MHZ in my opinion, and for

Hmmm... I have a similar machine, DP1GHZ also with 4 hard drives and 2
optical drives. I don't let the hard drives sleep. I've never had an issue,
but if i were you i'de check with the disk utility right away and verify
each drive to see if leopard sees a problem, it could be a hd failing...
Just kinda lookin round and seeing i cud pick a sp1.8 g5 up pretty darn
cheap... How would it compare in speed with my dp 1GHZ mdd?

Yes definitely clean it use an air compressor, or a can of compressed air. A
toothbrush can work well to clean the slots. Make sure you take out all the
ram, and basically anything that is plugged in especially the processor to
clean.

Interesting that someone should bring up this question. I have a dual 1GHZ
MDD and have been wondering the exact same thing. I never shut mine down. It
has been running for 9 days straight without sleep. And before the power
outage it was up for 29 days straight without sleep, and before that 31
I am still having no success. Here is everything I have tried:
installed original processor and jumper block and reset machine
Zapped Pram
booted into open firmware and typed reset-all, set-defaults
i've tried different installer cd's different optical drives
tried removing different ram chips
I just overclocked my beige g3 with 400MHZ processor to a 433MHZ. I am
trying to install 9.2 but everytime i put in the disc it gets to the loading
screen and completely freezes. Not even the mouse moves. Help please!

I turned the extentions off and it booted! I am going to try to find an
older 9 installer. I have run 9.2 on several beiges with no problems
though...

For my main file server I use a PowerMac G4 MDD DP 1GHZ, running Mac OS 10.4
