A USB 2.0 card for sure.
Like you I also have a DA but using Jaguar instead of Tiger.
I bought a USB2.0 PCI card first and then a 7 port powered hub.
Having a powered USB2 hub makes a lot of difference too not just for
your problem but other mounting/connection issues as well.

I attempted to overclock a beige. I put a 400MHZ processor from a blue and
white in it and overclocked it to 466MHZ. It powered on but nothing came up
on the screen and no lights came on. nothing. I tried some other
combinations and nothing worked. finally i put the original processor and
