I have an old LaserWriter 16/600PS which I bought used several years
ago. It has given (and is still giving) me yeoman service. It
prints better than either of my wife's HP (much newer) printers (they
give a pixellated (?) print-out on angled print boxes in ClarisWorks,
etc.). I used it
The fans on the 9800 series of video cards are notoriously unreliable - partly
because these cards do run pretty hot compared to others.
A lot of guys replace the fans with something that pushes a lot more air.
The fan in my 9800 128mb went south after 6 months of use and I know of two
others

I tried replacing the battery, and that seems to have cleared up some other
issues I was having (prolonged blue screen on boot up), but it didn't solve the
no video on reboot problem.
