My Powermac G4 digital audio doesn't recognize a new card reader and MP4 player, but it does recognize my older digital camera and MP3 player. Both card reader and MP4 player are recognized on a Windows XP computer which also has USB 1.1 only. Can something have become corrupt in the OS

Don't want to alarm you, but I had a similar experience with lightening that knocked out my ethernet port in my Quicksilver 2002 Dual 1GHz (and a Nikon 5000Ed scanner ...) over the ethernet network at home ... It also messed up the PCI slots and/or USB channel. Didn't show up right

I did as advised - I took out all the parts then started putting them back one at a time. All thats missing at the mo (as it installs Jag) is the floppy drive, A/V card, and a USB firewire card, all of which were in it when it was working fine. ie before I tried to install Tiger... On Jul 13,
